DOC ADAMS BAR & TASTING SHED

Doc Adams Wines has returned to its roots and is now making a premium single vineyard shiraz from the family-owned estate that produced medal- and trophy-winning wines in the early days of this sensational brand.
Winemaker Phil Christensen’s take on this shiraz showcases the benefits of an ocean-facing vineyard without diluting its individuality by adding grapes from outside of this unique sub-region of McLaren Vale. It is an open fermented wine, made with care and passion, then matured in premium French Oak barrels to add structure and great cellaring potential. The wine bursts with distinctive and rich flavours of dark berries, liquorice and spice, and is bottled in the classic Doc Adams Wines’ label, the design of which is inspired by the flocks of endangered yellow-tailed black cockatoos that inhabit the wind-swept vineyards.
The first release of this wine was released in late 2021 and can be tasted at the winery’s bar and tasting shed in Lonsdale, conveniently located between Adelaide and McLaren Vale – perfect for a day trip. Here, the full range of Doc Adams Wines can be enjoyed alongside a regional cheese platter from 12pm to 7pm on Fridays, or 12pm to 5pm on Saturdays. Bookings are recommended to ensure you’ve secured a spot and don’t miss out on a chance to try the new premium single vineyard shiraz. It’s just what the doctor ordered!
