Kimbolton Wines has introduced a new experience package for 2022, offering a rooftop tasting and picnic for two. The cellar door rooftop is the inspiration behind this package; visitors can sit above the architecturally designed cellar door made from restored shipping containers and enjoy picturesque views of the Langhorne Creek wine region and the Kimbolton vineyards, including shiraz and cabernet sauvignon grapes that were planted more than fifty years ago.
During this fabulous experience, you’ll be looked after by a Kimbolton team member, who will greet you at the cellar door and will be your designated host. They will escort you to the rooftop, where you can settle in and look forward to savouring some glorious wines. Your host will introduce you to Kimbolton and provide a brief history of the cellar door, Kimbolton Wines, and the geological nature of Langhorne Creek.
The wine tasting itself includes five Kimbolton wines, including its renowned alternate varieties. These come with detailed tasting notes and information provided by your host. After the tasting, you’ll have the chance to choose a wine from three options, plus a carefully matched local artisan cheese, to be enjoyed with your local produce grazing box – a lovely way to spend an afternoon surrounded by beautiful views of the vineyards. As a memento of this splendid experience, you’ll be gifted your Kimbolton signature glasses and a cheese board set, so you can continue to indulge at home.
