Mallee Estate Wines
Mallee Estate is thrilled to be bringing back Riverland’s leading winery festival again this year, with promises of decadent, all day dining and live music. Held over three glorious days in April, the annual Riverland End of Vintage Festival includes three exciting events designed to encourage wine lovers to mingle and celebrate the beautiful wines of the Riverland region. Locals and tourists alike are welcome to join in on the festivities, whether you come along for the live traditional Greek music on Friday, the long table dinner on Saturday or Sunday, or both!
The festival is a fantastic way to celebrate all the hard work that went into this year’s vintage, which has resulted in more of the consistently fantastic varieties for which Mallee Estate is known. The winery will also be introducing the seductive montepulciano variety to its range this year.
If you can’t make it to the Riverland End of Vintage Festival, visit another time and enjoy a Vine to Wine tour, personally hosted by Jim Markeas, Mallee Estate’s winemaker, and available at 11:30am from Wednesday to Sunday year-round. The tour takes you from the vines – where Markeas explains the various practices used – up the seven-metre catwalk platform to enjoy the view over the vineyards, before you’re walked through the process of crushing, blending and bottling the wines, which can be tasted at the cellar door.
With plenty of superb wines to try, delicious food to enjoy and many exciting things happening at the End of Vintage Festival, Mallee Estate has so much to offer wine enthusiasts this year. Peruse the winery’s website for more details and make a wine tasting booking today.
