Wolf Blass Visitor Centre
Wolf Blass Visitor Centre
A business that has enjoyed a long and successful history in winemaking, Wolf Blass Visitor Centre offers wine enthusiasts a chance to discover why the brand has become so recognisable and well-respected. The founder of Wolf Blass, Wolfgang Blass, established his winery in 1973 and introduced the Wolf Blass Black Label to the public. What followed was a quick succession of highly esteemed wine awards, such as three consecutive Jimmy Watson Trophies from the years 1974–76. From here, the Wolf Blass legacy was born.
Today, Wolf Blass Visitor Centre offers its guests two exceptional wine-tasting sessions. The Luxury Experience involves a relaxing, sit-down tasting that guides drinkers through its premium portfolio of wines, including the iconic Platinum Label Shiraz. Alternatively, visitors can opt for Black from the Barrel. At $20 per head, visitors are offered the opportunity to taste two individual components directly from their barrels, alongside the current Black Label vintage.
It is undeniable that the Wolf Blass brand is a firm favourite among the general public and wine professionals alike. Consistently rated a 5-star winery in James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion, Wolf Blass Visitor Centre’s future is promising.
The centre also provides cheese plates, local gourmet produce, barista coffee and handmade desserts, so you can enjoy your time at Wolf Blass Visitor Centre with a full belly.
Tasting Notes

⇐ Wolf Blass Yellow Label Chardonnay
The heart of Wolf Blass, the Yellow Label range has delivered quality and consistency for more than 40 years. Designed to be suitable for any occasion, this chardonnay is a generous, medium-bodied white wine that is packed with the enticing aromas of stone fruits. It has a soft creamy texture, subtle oak flavour and a lingering finish.

⇐ Wolf Blass Makers’ Project Pink Pinot Grigio
The Makers’ Project is a range of wines that celebrate the artistry and craft of winemaking that has been at the heart of Wolf Blass since 1966. Made by fermenting free-run juice and enhancing the natural pink colour of the pinot grigio skins, this is a light-bodied style with a crisp, dry finish that’s packed with flavour.

⇐ Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz
A richly flavoured, generous and sophisticated McLaren Vale shiraz. This wine is perhaps the definitive expression of regional and varietal pairing, carrying the distinctive Wolf Blass hallmarks of power and elegance. Shiraz from McLaren Vale is synonymous with the plush, rich and velvety nature of Wolf Blass’ Grey Label.

⇐Wolf Blass Black Label 44th Vintage Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz
A powerful expression of Wolf Blass’ philosophy of synergistic blending. The Black Label is built on persistence of flavour, seamless texture and long, velvety tannins. Featuring opulent, yet elegant fruit from Barossa Valley, Langhorne Creek and McLaren Vale, this wine provides richness, depth and exceptional complexity.
