Sidewood Estate
Sidewood Estate
This year, Sidewood Estate celebrates its momentous 20th Anniversary. It was originally founded in 2004 by wedded oenophiles Owen and Cassandra Inglis. Sidewood Estate is now one of the largest wineries in the Adelaide Hills, encompassing 110-hectares of premium vineyards. The four vineyards represent the heart and soul of the estate, each nurturing distinct varietals.
Specialising in cool-climate wines, Sidewood Estate embodies a winemaking ethos rooted in artistry and authenticity. Vineyards in the Adelaide Hills thrive in temperatures significantly cooler than surrounding regions. The sustainable and organically-certified vineyards are tenderly cultivated, elevating viticulture into an art form. Assiduously hand-picked grapes travel mere meters to be processed and bottled at Sidewood Estate’s winery and bottling lines.
Each year, Sidewood Estate produces a diverse range, totalling twenty-four wines and four non-alcoholic wines. The selection includes five sparkling wines, two sauvignon blancs, three chardonnays, four pinot noirs, five shiraz wines, two rosés, one pinot blanc and one pinot gris.
Sidewood Estate boasts three distinct kitchens overseen by acclaimed executive chef Jamie Carter. The main restaurant serves culinary delights of regionally curated, Australian contemporary cuisine. The Apple Shed kitchen serves Asian-inspired dishes that can be enjoyed while lounging in the courtyard. Amidst the lush greenery of the lawn and garden, the Garden Bar offers al fresco dining with wood-fired, gourmet pizzas. Whether you’re seeking a leisurely afternoon or an exquisite evening, Sidewood Estate provides a spectacular dining experience.
Nestled among eucalyptus and landscaped gardens, the restaurant and cellar door provide a picturesque setting for guests to indulge in wine and culinary delights. The courtyard area beckons with opportunities to play lawn games before lounging with a glass of wine.
Sidewood Estate offers a plethora of captivating experiences and exclusive services, each visit to Sidewood Estate is imbued with excitement and indulgence
