Pikes is the ultimate destination for food, wine and beer lovers, offering a complete estate experience in the scenic Clare Valley. The Pike family has produced various handcrafted beverages in South Australia since 1886, first starting with beer. The family proudly carries their brewing and beverage legacy to this day, as they continue to produce premium beer and wine under the Pikes brand.

The winery was founded by Andrew, his wife Cathy and brother Neil Pike in 1984. The family tradition continued to the next generation, as the family business grew. With more than a decade of experience, Jamie and Alister Pike, the sons of Cathy and Andrew Pike are now leading the business with Jamie Pike as the managing director of the winery and Alister Pike as manager of the brewery. The estate has 130 hectares of vine, specialising in Riesling, Shiraz, Cabernet and Sangiovese, and home to twenty different grape varieties including Albariño, Chardonnay, Fiano, Pinot Grigio, Semillon, Grenache, Montepulciano, Mourvèdre and Tempranillo, offering a diverse selection of wines for every palate.

For more than forty years, the Pike family has cultivated the land in the Clare Valley, with a long term dedication to the community and environment. Pikes invests in renewable energy, biodiversity and responsible production, with the goal to keep the Clare Valley a thriving wine region for generations to come. In 2023 this commitment was formally recognised under the Freshcare Australia Wine Industry Standard of Sustainable Practice, strengthening the values that have long guided the estate.

Your visit begins with a complimentary seated wine tasting, where the first pour of course belongs to Pikes iconic ‘Traditionale’ Riesling, followed by four wines of your choice. With a collection of experiences, from lunch at the award-winning SLATE restaurant to curated and immersive food, wine and beer experiences. Pikes has received numerous accolades, including the Halliday People’s Choice Award for Best Winery Experience in 2021 and 2022. While SLATE, the onsite restaurant has won the Australian Good Food Guide Chef Hat seven years in a row. The 2023 Traditionale Riesling received various awards, including Best Dry Riesling at the Canberra International Riesling Challenge, best 2023 Riesling and the Mick Knapstein trophy for Best Riesling of Show at the 2023 Clare Valley Regional Wine Show.
