Located in the picturesque Northern Adelaide Hills region, Kersbrook Hill Wines & Cider is a family-owned and -operated boutique winery that produces distinctive, high-quality wines and ciders. In 1997, owner and managing director Paul Clark planted the first vines in a small block of land called Don’s Acre. Encouraged by the results, he began planting shiraz and riesling in Stag’s Leap Vineyard shortly thereafter. Now, Kersbrook Hill Wines & Cider cultivates an under-vine area that totals four hectares, with the land yielding fruit of the highest standard.

The winery specialises in a broad range of red, white, table, sparkling, fortified and dessert wines, including riesling, sauvignon blanc, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, tempranillo, cabernet rosé and moscato. While Kersbrook Hill Wines & Cider produces fifteen different types of wine per year, it’s also renowned for its premium basket-pressed cider, which is made from fresh, locally grown apples.

The winery is constantly experimenting with new and different styles in order to create small-batch wines that capture the imagination and delight the senses, with most of these varieties only available at its cellar door.

In 2009, Paul and his wife Mary converted the town of Kersbrook’s disused fire station and cold store into the winery’s charming cellar door.

Showcasing scenic vistas of rolling hills and gum-studded valleys, the cellar door is designed to provide visitors with a tranquil environment in which they can enjoy sensory glass of wine. Along with delicious wine and cider tastings, the cellar door also offers a range of gourmet pizzas, home-baked muffins and decadent desserts that are made by a local pâtissier, as well as cheese and charcuterie platters, which are made from seasonal and regional produce.

Kersbrook Hill Wines & Cider’s award-winning wines can be found in restaurants and bottle shops throughout South Australia, and in selected venues in Melbourne and Sydney. The winery also exports its products to a number of international markets.
