Tasting Notes

⇐ Long Gully Road Semillon

The fruit used within this semillon is picked at the critical point where ascendant ripeness meets natural acidity, which comes together as a poised and delicious drop of wine. An ideal option for the summertime, this wine has a bright straw-coloured tone, with hints of pale green apple. Featuring zesty hints of lemon and a honeyed finish, the crisp lightness of the palate lingers beautifully.

⇐ Red Rosé – One Hundred and Eight Varieties

Defining its own category, the Red Rosé – One Hundred and Eight Varieties showcases the artisanal soul and experimental curiosity for which david Franz is renowned. A veritable cornucopia of varieties, the layered and textural rosé is a tour de force of aromatics, with an incredibly nuanced texture.

⇐ Grenache Noir

The Grenache Noir is a single-vineyard wine created from grenache vines planted in 1923, which are grown in the company’s Stonewell Hill Vineyard. The elegant grenache has a full palate, replete with summer fruits and a long, spicy finish.

⇐ Georgie’s Walk Cabernet Sauvignon

Georgie’s Walk Cabernet Sauvignon is unique and distinctive, with a flavour spectrum that encompasses a treasure box of flavours such as liquorice, red and black summer berries, anise, fennel and chocolate.
