Established in 1985 in the heart of McLaren Vale, Beresford Estate is proudly family-owned, and passionately South Australian. The winemakers at Beresford Estate apply their extraordinary knowledge and expertise to handcraft wines of celebrated distinction. Each and every Beresford Estate wine heralds the individuality and diversity of the McLaren Vale region.

Beresford Estate’s twenty-eight hectare vineyard was first planted in the 1960s, and is located at the peak of one of McLaren Vale’s most elevated sites, in the cool Blewitt Springs sub-region. Sitting 130 meters above sea level, and grown in ancient sandy soils with deep sand above the clay sub-soils, the vines are dry-grown with minimal or no irrigation, creating wines with intense flavours and soft mouth-filling tannins.

The vineyard is a true representation of McLaren Vale’s most successful varieties of wine grapes, and includes fifty-year-old gnarly bush vine grenache, balanced shiraz, and cabernet sauvignon varietals. The vineyard also houses leading clones of chardonnay.

When visiting Beresford Estate, structured tasting experiences are available at the Tasting Pavilion. The paired wine and food tasting flight is a particular highlight, which features six premium wines, each matched to a regional tasting plate for a truly indulgent experience. Craft beer tasting paddles and premium spirit tasting experiences are also available to accommodate a range of different preferences.

The Tasting Pavillion also offers seasonal tasting experiences, which are available on a limited basis, such as the shiraz and chocolate tasting flight. Visitors can also experience the Beresford Grand Tour, which includes a comprehensive tour and tasting, showcasing the very best of Beresford Estate.

Also located on-site is Beresford House, a boutique accommodation and luxury wedding and events venue. It features two wings of superbly appointed living quarters. The Reserve Suite offers luxurious studio-style lodgings for two, and the Grenache Villa features three double bedrooms.
